for those of you who are wondering, natsume has a younger sister by the name of yukiaoi (or aoi for short) whose alice appears to be fire. it seems that the fire alice runs in the hyuuga family.

aoi is the main reason as to why natsume is still in the academy and working for the academy on missions. aoi is apparently held as hostage for the academy to manipulate him as they like. the manipulators are so far limited to the elementary branch principal and persona (the man with a white demi-mask).

before he entered the academy, natsume was on the run with his family, who consist mainly of his father and aoi; it is not clear whether his mother is still alive. when he settles into a town, he finds a friend in nogi ruka, another main character in the story. but at this point of time, no one knows about ruka possessing an alice, the academy included.

however, good things never last long (in stories anyway) and the academy soon catches up with them. it appeared that the academy was after natsume's fire alice (i think it was because it was very strong; not very sure though).

the crew from the academy being narumi-sensei, misaki-sensei and persona(creepy guy with mask) as he is the head of the dangerous ability. they found natsume together with ruka and aoi in school, but natsume foils their attempt to get them into school using his alice.

a few days later, aoi developes a high fever that refused to go away until her alice finally broke out of her control and the whole town burned, with no casualties though. natsume turned the blame to himself and was admitted to the academy. but as he got into the car that would bring him there, he found ruka inside waiting for him, who was there simply because he wanted to accompany natsume so he won't be alone in the academy.

i think there is a high chance that mikanwill end up with natsume in the end, though now Tachibana -san is portraying a ruka-mikan-natsume love triangle..pretty sweet really, demo i think i prefer natsume with mikan and hotaru with ruka hehe ^.^

natsume is very much an introvert, but he is popular amonge his fellow classmates, even with his attitude. despite his uncaring facade, natsume actually cares alot about the people he deems important to him and will go to any length to help them, as indiscreetly as possible.

perhaps too indiscreetly to the point that mikan never gets that he was helping her until someone tells her XD mikan baka ^.^
